And the believer's name stays holy: what the Pig confided, believed, or hoped is never repurposed as material, never improved into an anecdote, never spent to warm a room, because a Pig can survive the Dragon's thunder indefinitely and cannot survive being made the empire's comedy even once.

In fair weather the two generosities compound, the Dragon funding the feast and the Pig making it mean something. In dispute the dialects fail hard: the Dragon restages, recasting the quarrel inside a larger story where it was, on balance, magnificent, and the Pig, a literalist to the end, keeps holding the original sentence, asking with genuine confusion whether it was true. The working rules are two. Big statements get a label before they leave the Dragon's mouth. And when the Pig produces the transcript, the Dragon honors it rather than reissuing history, because the Pig's memory for what was said is not prosecution, it is the way believers keep their faith organized.

Run honestly, the household is one of the wheel's warmest at scale. The Dragon supplies means and magnitude; the Pig supplies the welcome that makes magnitude mean something, the feasts people actually want invitations to, the home that converts the Dragon's empire into a life. The Pig hosts the court better than the court deserves and means every minute of it, and a Dragon that grasps what it has been given, sincerity operating at banquet scale, guards it accordingly.

The clauses are financial and thankless in the good sense. Two big-hearted spenders live here, one buying spectacle and one buying joy for other people, and neither is the treasurer, so the reserve gets automated on payday and both generosities get named budgets they may spend without audit. And the invisible labor gets made visible: the Pig absorbs the household's hosting, feeding, and emotional logistics so smoothly that a Dragon can mistake the hearth for staff, so the feast gets credited by name, from the head of the table, in front of the guests it fed.

Professionally the pairing runs best as mission and steward. The Pig is the one colleague who believes the Dragon's mission literally, and its execution has the wholeheartedness that cannot be hired: clients trust the Pig because the Pig is not performing trust. The Dragon supplies direction and scale, and, at its best, does the one thing only the throne can do, protect the believer from the costs of belief.

That protection is the load-bearing clause. A Pig overcommits on faith, to the Dragon first of all, absorbing impossible deadlines and unpaid weekends because the mission asked, and a Dragon that spends this resource at market rate will exhaust the only wholehearted asset it has. So the throne guards the Pig's yes, declining commitments on its behalf before the Pig can sincerely make them. The second clause is minutes: what the meeting decided gets written, because the Pig will act on the words as spoken and the Dragon will remember the improved version, and the gap between them, unwritten, becomes the Pig's private evidence file against its own faith.

The break is a conversion, and it happens all at once after happening slowly for years. The Pig's faith does not erode; it accumulates exceptions, each proclamation that quietly lapsed, each confidence that surfaced at a dinner party, each yes that was spent rather than guarded, filed by a literalist with a long memory, while the worship continues on schedule. The Dragon, reading the unchanged warmth as an unchanged account, notices nothing. Then some ordinary revision, smaller than a dozen the Pig absorbed before, closes the account entirely, because believers do not downgrade, they convert.

What follows is the quietest ending on the wheel from its warmest sign, total, unappealable, and strangely serene, and the Dragon loses the one audience that was never an audience. None of it is fate. The controlling cycle names a real asymmetry, the shaping force wearing down the flowing one, but a dam, run honestly, is how water becomes power, and the couples who last describe exactly that: promises labeled, transcripts honored, the believer's name kept holy, the yes guarded by the throne itself, and the feast credited out loud while the believer is still at the table.
